#1 – The view on yesterday’s long ride didn’t suck
#2 – I brought these on my ride:
Holy YUM. Those things rock.
#3 – Nutrition. Nailed. (See #2 – those babies are key for me since I can’t deal with gel for 15 hours.)
#4 – My bike course was shaped like a pointy lollipop. Or Darth Vaders head (if he was lying down). I just like that it is pointy.
#4 – 110 miles (OK 109.66 – but that is where my ride home was) in 6:52:30. That is very fast for me.
#5 – That time includes changing a flat tire and almost getting killed by a turkey. The turkey came out of nowhere and I barely missed him with my front tire. That would have been quite a story.
#6 – It was warm and sunny. Yeah. I love that.
#7 – My mom is the best full-service sherpa around. She checked on me, had water stops/special needs set up for me, and gave me a ride home. Thanks mom.
#8 – Today I run 10 miles twice. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. 10 down, 10 to go.
#9 – Taper starts tomorrow.
#10 – 3 weeks (that’s be 21 days) until IMLP! EEEK!
Swim ~ 2.3 miles
Bike ~ 181 miles
Run ~ 18 down, 10 more to go (so by end of day, 28 for week)
Total: 15h30m done, after my run it will be about 17 hours for week.
