So for the past 5 years, I have had the following gorgeous medal display:

I guess it is a little sad, that poor lamp shade. Over the past year, I noticed race medal hangers from Allied Steel popping up in blog giveaways. I was not the lucky winner in any of the contests, so my medals stayed on my sad sad looking lampshade.
I threw a few more medals on the lampshade this year. The poor thing was looking like it was about to break. And really, it wasn’t the best way to showcase my hard-earned medals.
Ok fine. If I can’t win one of those danged things I am going to have to buy one.
I hopped online and started looking around at different medal hanger manufacturers, even though I saw lots of Allied Medal Displays reviewed on blogs. The thing is, the more I looked around, the more that Allied Medal Displays stood out as having the best quality, customer service, and reviews.
They have not only have a wide variety with themes of running and other sports, they also offer custom hangers. I totally went for the custom hanger:

I picked the runner because really, that is where I started with endurance sports, and I have a feeling that is what I will always go back to. I picked the big one because, well, I am not even close to being done collecting those things.
This was very easy to install, I John had it out of the box and on the wall within a half hour. It is very study and attractive, and I am completely pleased with it.

tbh tho, I don’t think anyone in shouting distance of my condo is a potential customer for them. While I haven’t seen a pic of you in said jeans, I believe you that they make you look tall. I was actually just on their web site this last weekend when a friend posted a pic on FB of her half-mary medal and nowhere to show it off. I suggested she get a display from Allied!

So many good hangers to choose from, but after perusing the site for a while, I think I like the female detailed tri figures best.

Ok, as cool as the medal hanger is, I have to say that the lampshade is pretty bad ass simply because you have so many medals that is ruining it.

I went to the Allied Medal Displays website and love so many of the displays. Although I think of myself as more of a triathlete than a straight up runner, it might be nice to share with my hubs who is just getting into running (first 13.1s and 26.2 premiere all this year) so perhaps just our team name on a custom design, “MANIC DEFENSE”

I would pick the female triathlon features hanger… because even though the custom ones are cool, I don’t think I could ever narrow it down to just one of the three sports — they all hold something special for me!
Also, they spelled it “triathalon” on their website… So many people want to add that extra syllable in there!

Those jeans make you look TALL! Honestly, I didn’t know it WAS the jeans, I just thought you WERE tall. I guess the way you carry yourself makes you larger than life! And I SO need a hanger, my current hanger (i.e. and candle-holding sconce on the wall of my bedroom) just isn’t sufficient.
