So lots of things are happening, so I guess it is time for a random post…
I kept my clothes on…
I finally got back into the pool this weekend, and the great news is that I didn’t drown or flash anyone.
Trust me, I tried. The first 1,000 yards were kind of hellish because I am not in great swim shape.
Also, had to swim in a lane next to this guy:
At least we didn’t have to share a lane.
Anyway. After big man in a little speedo left, I fell into a groove and swam a straight 500 yards, then repeated it. It felt pretty awesome as long as I went at a cruising pace.
I will not mention how long that 1000 yards took me.
Best. Pancakes. Ever.
Mom and I went to The Homestead Bakery after my swim and had brunch. I love that place, and the specialty pancakes are awesome.
Pool is officially open…
The ice is finally off of the north end of Wyman Lake (the south end is still has ice on it), which means that soon I won’t have to drive 90 minutes to get my swim in. It is too cold for me right now, but Porter doesn’t seem to mind.
