I am completely enjoying the down time from structured training I have right now. It is kind of nice to get home from work and rush to…the garden…instead of the bike or swim or run.
Actually, who am I kidding? I haven’t had structured training since I finished IMLP.
I have been hiking a lot – it is my favorite thing to do in the fall, I really hate to give that up for anything else. Last weekend Porter and I hiked Mosquito Mountain.
I didn’t get a lot of pictures from that hike, and I didn’t get over to the second overlook this time because of time constraints, but I’ll head back up there later this fall.
Yesterday my friend Andra and I hiked Moxie Bald Mountain – another one of my favorite hikes in the area, and it is always so fun to share a favorite hike with a friend.
This hike is part of the Appalachian Trail and is either a 3 mile or a 8 mile hike depending on where you decide to hit the trail. At the top it is pretty much completely bald and you have a 360 degree view. It is pretty spectacular.
